One of the principal objectives of the Encore Association is the promotion of excellence in all aspects of theatre. No one exemplified this more than Jean Cones through her commitment to excellence in the theatre and to educational activities pertaining to theatrical arts. To further this cause, and maintain the level of excellence that Jean came to represent, the Encore Association's Board of Directors annually awards one or more scholarships to deserving youth involved in community theatre.

The scholarship is provided to the educator of the student to continue their artistic training. The recipient(s) chosen from students who are 18 years old and younger during the Theatre Season (September 1 - August 31) who performed or participated at and were nominated by Encore Association member theatres.

*Deadline has been extended until September 13th.  Suggestion is to get the finished information mailed out by September 8th, 2008. Anything received after the 13th will not be considered.
