The E. Edward Green Award


E.Edward Green devoted his life to the betterment of community theatre. As a teacher at Emmerich Manual High School, he influenced hundreds of students. As a performer in many community theatres and tireless worker in the Vaariety Club and Encore Association, he exemplified the priciples of these organizations. He founded the Encore Association in 1970.

The E. Edward Green Award was first presented in 1980. It is given to a person or persons with at least 25 years of outstanding continuous dedicated service to community theatre through participation and the encouragement of theatre art in the metropolitan Indianapolis area.
